Zusammenfassung

Kontrastverstärkte Ultraschallmethoden haben die diagnostischen Möglichkeiten des klinischen Ultraschalls in den letzten Jahren erheblich erweitert. Kontrastmittelspezifische Software in Verbindung mit Ultraschallkontrastmitteln der 2. Generation haben dabei den Ultraschallmethoden eine Aussagekraft gegeben, die manchmal weit über die Möglichkeiten der anderen schnittbildgebenden Verfahren hinausreicht. Der folgende Artikel befasst sich mit den Anwendungsmöglichkeiten des kontrastverstärkten Ultraschalls zur Diagnostik von Pankreaserkrankungen inklusive des endoskopischen Ultraschalls. Der Leser soll mit dem Artikel in die Lage versetzt werden, die Schwächen und Stärken des kontrastverstärkten Ultraschalls kennenzulernen, um die Methode sinnvoll zur Diagnostik von Pankreaserkrankungen einzusetzen.

Abstract

Contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) has increased the diagnostic spectrum of clinical ultrasound. Especially the introduction of specific contrast-enhanced software in connection with the development of second generation contrast enhancers has enabled the development of CEUS to a stage where it sometimes furnishes better diagnostic results than any other cross-sectional diagnostic imaging method. The present article should provide the reader with an overview about the diagnostic possibilities of CEUS including contrast-enhanced endoscopic ultrasound. The reader should then be able to understand the weaknesses and strengths of CEUS in the diagnostic apporach to pancreatic diseases.
