2-Pyrazol-5-ylaniline as ortho-Directing Agent for Arylboronic Acids in C-H Silylation

Significance

2-Pyrazol-5-ylaniline (pza-H2) was found to be an effective ortho-directing agent for arylboronic acids in ruthenium-catalyzed aromatic C-H silylations. The pza ligand can be easily attached and detached from the boronic acid. Silylation takes place regioselectively at the less sterically hindered ortho-position.
