Significance

Pasteurestins A and B show selective antibacterial activities against some strains of Pasteurella multocida and also against Mann­heimia haemolytica, a pathogen for bovine respiratory disease. The synthesis is based on the diastereo­selective Vollhardt [2+2+2] cycloaddition of enediynes E and J.
