Summary

A case of postoperative chylothorax, following repair of aortic coarctation, is reported. The chylous fluid entered the subcutaneous space at the left lateral thoracic wall, extending downwards to the left abdominal region and external genitalia.

The treatment of this complication is discussed and emphasis is given to its unusual clinical manifestation.
