Abstract
Over the past three decades, industrial activity has increased rapidly in developing nations. Industrial growth and intensive agriculture has also increased the health risks faced by workers in the countries by intensifying existing health problems and by introducing new hazards. Many of these hazards pose a threat to respiratory health. This brief report reviews the occupational respiratory problems of industrializing nations and areas for future research.
