The technique of Design of Experiments (DoE) was employed to facilitate the rapid automated optimisation of amide formation using a polymer supported carbodiimide system. Using an optimised set of reaction conditions, an array of 80 compounds was synthesised in a 96-well plate with the reagent being delivered via an IRORITM kan to each individual well.
