Chloro(vinyl)carbenes 1 and 6 generated by ring opening of the corresponding 1,2-dichlorocyclopropenes 4 and 8 at 200 and 25°C, respectively, add to the triple bond of phosphaalkynes with the formation of the title compounds 3 and 9. Model ring opening and substitution reactions of these novel compounds, leading to 5,10 and 11, are described.
