The palladium-catalyzed coupling reactions of aryl or 1-alkenyl triflates with alkyl-, aryl-, and 1-alkenylboron compounds in the presence of potassium phosphate take place readily in high yield under mild conditions. The reaction provides a simple method for the preparation of alkenes, 1,3-alkadienes, aryl-alkenes, and biaryls.
