Summary

The abnormally high sialic acid-content of fibrinogen Zurich II could be attributed to the presence of a higher proportion of the sialic acid-rich L variant of both the γ and Bβ- polypeptide chains of fibrinogen Zurich II as compared to normal fibrinogen.
