I want to thank Dr. Mitchel Seruya for serving as guest editor of this edition of Seminars in Plastic Surgery and the excellent group of authors he has invited to contribute to this issue on pediatric upper limb spasticity.

Dr. Seruya is a board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in both craniofacial and hand/microsurgery. He earned his medical degree from Columbia University in New York and completed a plastic surgery residency at the Georgetown University Hospital, Department of Plastic Surgery, in Washington, DC. Dr. Seruya continued his training with fellowships in craniofacial surgery and hand/microsurgery at the Royal Children's Hospital, Department of Plastic Surgery, in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

Dr. Seruya is an active member of the American Society for Peripheral Nerve and a candidate member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Association for Hand Surgery. He serves as associate editor for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery–Global Open, as an editorial board member for the Journal of Craniofacial Surgery, and as a reviewer for the Journal of Hand Surgery. His interests within hand and microsurgery include brachial plexus palsy and the use of distal nerve transfers, cerebral palsy, and congenital hand and wrist differences.
