C-N Bond Formation with Nano-Ru/Fe3O4

Significance
A magnetite-immobilized nano-ruthenium catalyst (nano-Ru/Fe3O4) promoted the direct C-N bond formation of sulfonamides and alcohols. Thus, the dehydrative C-N bond-forming reaction of sulfonamides 1 and alcohols 2 was carried out with 0.4 mol% ruthenium of nano-Ru/Fe3O4 in the presence of K2CO3 under argon flow to give the corresponding products 3 in 49-98% isolated yield (21 examples).
