Summary

Gynecological peritoneoscopy in diagnosis of acute abdomen is emphasized. Intraperitoneal hemorrhage, acute inflammatory processes, torsion of organs and ileus, acute spastic complaints and primarily surgical conditions can be differentiated during early peritoneoscopy. Even in small children there are no side effects or additional risks. Gynecological peritoneoscopy in acute abdomen is performed in general anesthesia and, when the intraabdominal findings demand for surgical intervention, laparotomy follows immediately.
