Abstract

The authors investigated the dynamics of the serum creatine level in hyperthyroid patients during physical effort. A clear increase in serum creatine in hyperthyroid patients during exercise was found in contrast to a consistent decrease in serum creatine observed in five groups of patients suffering from myxoedema, Cushing's disease, Addison's disease, acromegaly, progressive muscular dystrophy and in a control group.
