Highly Fluorescent Polymers with a Large Stokes Shift

Significance

The monomers M1 and M2 were synthesized and then polymerized with a fluorene co-monomer to obtain the short polymers P1 and P2, which displayed high quantum yields and relatively large Stokes shifts. Polymer-2 is slightly red-shifted and has a larger stokes shift when compared to polymer-1.
