Introduction

A recent review has identified 101 reports of bisphosphonate-associated ocular inflammations such as uveitis, scleritis, episcleritis, orbital inflammation, and/or conjunctivitis [1]. In view of the widespread use of these medications to treat osteoporosis, it is important to alert ophthalmologists to these rare ocular manifestations. Therefore, we present a 66-year-old man who developed posterior scleritis and intraorbital inflammation following bisphosphonate treatment for osteoporosis.
