Significance
Organic semiconductors are being studied extensively as materials for application in such areas as organic field effect transistors (OFETs), organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), photovoltaic devices, and sensors. While many p-type organic semiconductors are available, n-type materials, such as the one reported by authors, are rare.
