Spectabilis, sehr geehrter Herr Professor Hohenberger, liebe Kolleginnen und Kollegen, liebe Studenten, liebe Familie, liebe Freunde,
so manch einer mag sich fragen was Gene, kleinste Bausteine des Lebens mit der Chirurgie zu tun haben. Es gibt allerdings erbliche Formen der Tumorerkrankung wie die familiäre adenomatöse Polyposis, das hereditäre, nicht polypöse kolorektale Karzinom, sowie andere Polyposis-Syndrome, beispielsweise die juvenile Polypose, bei denen die molekulare Diagnostik eine ganz klare Entscheidungshilfe für das wann und wie der chirurgischen Therapie liefern.
