E-Zigaretten in der Schwangerschaft – ein neues Risiko in der Neonatologie?

Ausgehend von den USA breitet sich der Konsum von elektrischen Zigaretten nunmehr auch in Deutschland rasant aus. Die weitaus meisten E-Zigaretten enthalten Nikotin in gesundheitsrelevanter Konzentration. Im Falle eines pränatalen Konsums stellt sich somit die Frage nach potenziellen Risiken für Schwangere und Kind. Dieser Beitrag stellt den aktuellen Forschungsstand zu Verbreitung, potenziellen Risiken und Risikowahrnehmung zur Diskussion.
