Wenn ein Säugetier ein Junges geboren hat, folgt nach einer gewissen Zeit die Plazenta. Das geht mit einer mehr oder weniger starken Blutung einher. Soweit, so gut. Wie lange darf es dauern? Wie stark darf die Blutung sein? Hat die Evolution hier alles richtig gemacht, oder gibt es Verbesserungsbedarf? Und falls ja: was, wann und bei wem?
