Wir schildern den Fall eines 67-jährigen Patienten, der sich wegen einer in milder Form vorbestehenden, in den letzten Jahren jedoch akzentuierten Tagesmüdigkeit in unserem Schlafmedizinischen Zentrum untersuchen ließ. Es wurde ein obstruktives Schlafapnoe- Syndrom diagnostiziert; überraschenderweise zeigte sich zusätzlich eine Narkolepsie. Der Patient berichtete daraufhin einige seit Jahrzehnten aufgetretene Narkolepsie-typische Symptome, die er jedoch bislang nicht als krankheitswertig angesehen hatte.
