Adipositas-Langzeittherapie im Rehazentrum Insula

Zusammenfassung

Das Adipositas Zentrum Insula (bestehend aus Rehazentrum und zwei therapeutischen Adipositas-Wohngruppen) wird mit seinem multimodalen Langzeittherapiekonzept (2–9 Monate) und seinen Katamnesedaten vorgestellt. Extrem übergewichtige Jugendliche und junge Erwachsenen profitieren bei fehlender familiärer Unterstützung von der Betreuung in den therapeutischen Wohngruppen. Oft unkontrollierter Medienkonsum kann die Therapiemotivation stark beeinträchtigen, kann aber auch bei fehlender Perspektive zu einem fragwürdigen Coping-Instrument werden.

Summary

The Obesity Center Insula (consisting of the Rehabilitation Centre and therapeutic obesity living groups) is presented with its multi-modal long term therapy concept for extremely obese adolescents and young adults. Therapy results and follow up data are shown and discussed.

Unlimited and uncontrolled media use can show negative effects on therapy motivation and can be a questionable coping mechanism in patients lacking positive life options.
