It is my pleasure to serve as the editor for the current issue of the Journal of Pediatric Neuroradiology entitled “Pediatric Brain Tumors.”

The purpose of this issue is to review briefly the neuropathology and the main clinical manifestations of pediatric brain tumors because I think they form the foundation for understanding their imaging characteristics.

Moreover, the intent of this issue is to update the reader with the latest applications of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) as well as of the advanced imaging techniques such as diffusion-weighted imaging, apparent diffusion coefficient, diffusion tensor imaging, perfusion MRI, and spectroscopy. Those methods are described in a comprehensive way to facilitate anyone interested in neuroimaging of brain tumors.

I would like to thank all the contributors for their excellent job in covering the major areas of pediatric brain tumors and without whom this issue could not have been completed.
