Introduction

Since its introduction by Tagaki in 1918, arthroscopy has developed rapidly. Therefore, more joints became accessible. Especially for the upper ankle joint, indications are growing steadily. Despite the minimal surgical approach, severe complications are possible.

In this paper, we present the rare case of a pseudoaneurysm of the distal anterior tibial artery (ATA) after upper ankle joint arthroscopy including a review of literature.
