In this prospective study 42 teeth with advanced dentin caries of adult patients were treated. Soft infected dentin was removed from axial cavity walls, but only partially over the pulp. The teeth were filled with adhesive composite restorations. One tooth had to be treated endontically. After 3 to 12 months all other teeth were vital on cold stimuli and the restorations were intact and no fractures visible. So far this form of caries therapy has no disadvantages compared to the classical way.
