Tierärzte werden in der täglichen Routinepraxis zunehmend von besorgten Tierhaltern mit Fragen zu einem Gendefekt konfrontiert, der in der Hundepopulation innerhalb zahlreicher Rassen eine weite Verbreitung erfahren hat.
