Significance

A palladium complex bearing a silylalkyl chain unit was anchored onto silica-coated Fe3O4 particle (eq. 1). Pd-SiO2@Fe3O4 catalyzed the Suzuki, Sonogashira, and Stille couplings of aryl chlorides 1 with arylboronic acids 2, terminal alkynes 3, and organostannanes 4 to give the corresponding coupling products 5 (18 examples, 71-95% yield), 6 (18 examples, 74-95% yield), and 7 (18 examples, 72-96% yield), respectively.
