Significance

Au25 clusters grafted on hydroxyapatite (Au25-HAP; clusters size = 1.4±0.6 nm) was prepared from Au25(SC2H4Ph)18 clusters and characterized by HAADF-STEM and UV-Vis spectroscopy. Au25-HAP catalyzed the epoxidation of styrene to afford styrene oxide in 92% yield. The catalyst was reused twice without significant loss of catalytic activity.
