Significance

Fe3O4@SiO2-L-CpRu(η³-C3H5) was prepared by immobilization of compound 1 on Fe3O4@SiO2, followed by treatment with [CpRu(MeCN)3]PF6 (eq. 1). The complex catalyzed the deallylation of allyl esters and allyl ethers to afford the corresponding alcohols in up to 99% yield (10 examples, eq. 2). The catalyst quantitatively converted Fmoc-Phe-Asp(allyl)-Ot-Bu into Fmoc-Phe-Asp-Ot-Bu without affecting the Boc and Fmoc groups (eq. 3).
