Significance

Polymers containing both 2,6-(4,4-bis(2-ethylhexyl)-4H-cyclopenta[def]phenanthrene (CPP) and benzothiadiazole (BT) are presented. This is an example of a donor-acceptor emitting system within the same polymer chain. Inclusion of BT units allows for the tuning of electronic and optoelectronic properties of the polymer.
