Osteopathie und evidenzbasierte Medizin, Teil 2: Kritik an der EBM

Zusammenfassung

Die EBM ist bestrebt, die Medizin stetig zu verbessern [1]. Aus allen uns zur Verfügung stehenden Quellen sollen Entscheidungen zu einzelnen medizinischen Fragestellungen nach den besten vorliegenden Belegen getroffen werden [2]. Der Patient steht dabei immer im Zentrum aller Überlegungen [3]. Das klingt doch toll! Aber warum tun wir uns so schwer mit der EBM? Warum rufen wir in der Osteopathie nicht „Hurra!“? Stattdessen müssen wir uns wiederholt dafür rechtfertigen, wenn wir in der osteopathischen Community über EBM sprechen wollen? [4] Wie kann das sein?
