Zusammenfassung

Extrem laterale lumbale Bandscheibenvorfälle führen definitionsgemäß zur Kompression der neuroforaminal austretenden Nervenwurzel. Im hiesigen Fallbericht liegt der Bandscheibenvorfall L4 /5 noch ventral der asymptomatischen L4-Wurzel. Diese ungewöhnliche Lokalisation bedingt dabei eine eher uncharakteristische Beschwerdesymptomatik. Die erfolgreiche Sequesterotomie wird dabei durch eine schonende und zeitsparende, perkutane und endoskopische Exploration ermöglicht.
