Die kontinuierliche Glukosemessung in der interstitiellen Flüssigkeit (CGM) etabliert sich zunehmend in der Diabetestherapie. Dieser Beitrag erläutert, für welche Patienten sie infrage kommt und worauf bei der Auswahl eines CGM-Systems im Vorfeld von Arzt und Patient zu achten ist. Darüber hinaus werden die einzelnen Schritte der Beantragung eines CGM-Systems und das Wichtigste rund um den CGM-Start dargestellt.
