The term “drop attack” describes a sudden, unexpected, not accidental fall without impairment of consciousness and with quick restitution. This paper demonstrates the differential diagnosis of diseases possibly causing the symptom drop attack; important findings on each disease, diagnostic measures and therapy are presented.

Zusammenfassung

Als Sturzanfall bezeichnet man einen plötzlichen, nicht akzidentellen Sturz ohne Bewußtseinsverlust mit rascher Restitution. Die vorliegende Arbeit zeigt differentialdiagnostisch die Erkrankungen auf, die dem Symptom Sturzanfall zugrunde liegen önnen. Differentialdiagnostisch wichtige Befunde, Diagnostik und Therapie der einzelnen Grundkrankheiten werden beschrieben.
