Neutropenia Associated with Piperacillin/Tazobactam (Zosyn) in the Treatment of Orthopedic Injuries: A Case Report

Abstract

Neutropenia is a potentially fatal complication of intravenous Piperacillin/Tazobactam therapy not previously reported in the orthopedic literature. We report five cases that presented to the orthopedic service in a two-month period.
