Significance
The catalytic asymmetric synthesis of molecules with axial chirality is an ongoing challenge in organic synthesis. This report describes the palladium-catalyzed asymmetric synthesis of biaryls using macromolecular polymeric phosphine ligands, which in some cases outperform conventional monomeric phosphine ligands.
