Zusammenfassung

Beschreibung der Symptomatologie und des Verlaufes einer Datura-stramonium-Intoxikation bei zwei jungen Männern. Jeder von ihnen hatte einen Tee aus je vier Asthmazigaretten getrunken. Der Infus enthielt ein Drogengewicht von 2,8 g und eine Alkaloiddosis von 9,4 mg. Es resultierten: ein schweres, angstvoll erlebtes delirantes Psychosyndrom mit erheblicher Bewußtseinstrübung, ausgeprägte vegetative Erscheinungen, die denen bei einer Atropinvergiftung sehr ähnlich sahen, und eine grobe Gangataxie. Die Dauer der Symptomatik betrug 20 (Reorientierung) bis 30 (Schwinden der Ataxie) Stunden. Eine Mydriaisis bestand noch nach 48 Stunden. Das Gesamtbild ist von dem anderer z. Z. gebräuchlicher Rauschgifte gut zu unterscheiden. Die Frage der Dosis-Wirkungs-Relation muß noch offen bleiben.

Description of symptomatology and course of an intoxication with Datura stramonium in two young men. Either of them drank a tea of four asthma-cigarettes. The infusion contained 2.8 g of the drug, 9,4 mg of the alkaloid. The drink produced a severe delirious State with heavy anxiety and marked subconsciousness, distinct vegetative phenomenas very similar to those of an atropin-intoxication and a gross locomotor ataxia. The symptomatology lasted for a period of 20 (recovery of consciousness) to 30 (disappearance of ataxia) hours. The pattern of intoxication differs distinctly from that caused by other hallucinogens used frequently nowadays. At present the dose-action-problem has to rest unsolved.
