Two New Ellagic Acid Rhamnosides from Punica granatum Heartwood

Abstract

From Punica granatum heartwood two new ellagic acid rhamnosides, 3-O-methylellagic acid 4-O-α-L-rhamnopyranoside (1) and 3,4’-O-dimethylellagic acid 4-O-α-L-rhamnopyranoside (2) were isolated together with brevifolincarboxylic acid, 3-O-methylellagic acid and 4,4-O-dimethylellagic acid.
