Abstract

Solatium xanthocarpum was phytochemically investigated. Coumarins, scopolin, scopoletin, esculin and esculetin were extracted from plant parts (leaves, roots and fruits), separated by crystallization and/or column chromatography and indentification was carried out by m.p., mixed m.p., paper and thin layer chromatography and by preparing their derivatives.
