Suzuki-Miyaura Coupling with Palladium(II) Phosphine Complexes on MNPs

Significance

A palladium(II) phosphine complex supported on magnetic nanoparticles (Pd@SMP) was prepared and applied to the Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling. The Suzuki-Miyaura coupling of bromobenzene with phenylboronic acid was performed with 1 mol% Pd of Pd@SMP to give ­biphenyl in 99% yield. The catalyst was separated from the reaction mixture by applying an external magnetic field.
