Significance

A high-yielding decarboxylative cross-coupling of 3,4-dioxypyrrole (XDOP) with aryl bromides is reported. Because of the low stability of 2,5-dihaloXDOP, this method may provide an opportunity for yet unreported XDOP copolymers.
