Akute Endophthalmitis nach YAG-Laser-Kapsulotomie

Anamnese

Eine 91-jährige Patientin mitteleuropäischer Herkunft stellte sich mit einer akuten, wenig schmerzhaften Sehverschlechterung vor. Zwei Tage zuvor war eine YAG-Laser-Kapsulotomie durchgeführt worden, nachdem sich ein membranöser Nachstar innerhalb von 2 Monaten nach komplikationsloser Kataraktoperation entwickelt hatte. Unmittelbar nach der Kataraktoperation sei das Sehvermögen nach Angaben des nachbehandelnden Augenarztes und der Patientin sehr gut gewesen, Schmerzen waren zu keinem Zeitpunkt vor der YAG-Laser-Behandlung bemerkt worden. Allgemein bestand weder ein Diabetes mellitus noch eine arterielle Hypertonie oder eine das Immunsystem beeinträchtigende Erkrankung.
