Significance

Following up on their recent publications on the Pd-catalyzed regio- and stereoselective diamination of conjugated dienes and trienes (H. Du, B. Zhao, Y. Shi. J. Am. Chem. Soc. 2007, 129, 762; H. Du, W. Yuan, B. Zhao, Y. Shi J. Am. Chem. Soc. 2007, 129, 7496), the authors report the first catalytic asymmetric version of this reaction.
