Significance

Over the last few years, Wang and co-workers have developed various amino alcohol ligands for the very well known catalytic enantioselective addition of Et2Zn to aldehydes. The ligands are chiral ferrocenyl aziridino and pyrrolidino alcohol structures (Tetrahedron: Asymmetry 2006, 17, 2126-2132; Chin. J. Chem. 2005, 23, 1443-1448). The present article focuses on an azetidine derivative of the same class.
