Pupille - Störungen und Diagnostik

Einleitung

Die Untersuchung der Pupille bietet weitreichende diagnostische Möglichkeiten, die deutlich über das Gebiet der Augenheilkunde hinausgehen und mit lediglich minimalem Aufwand und Kosten verbunden sind. Gezieltes und richtiges Vorgehen ist dabei Grundvoraussetzung für eine erfolgreiche Diagnostik. Dieser Beitrag soll die Untersuchungstechnik der Pupillen vermitteln und Hinweise dazu geben, wie bei einem pathologischen Befund weiter vorzugehen ist. Er soll dabei die Funktion und die anatomischen Verschaltungen des Systems erklären, das die Pupillenweite bestimmt und die Pupille steuert.
