Den mehrfach ungesättigten Fettsäuren werden zahlreiche Vorteile für den Schwangerschaftsverlauf und die Entwicklung des kindlichen Zentralnerven-systems nachgesagt. Inzwischen gibt es zahlreiche Studien, die positive Effekte belegen.
