Significance

The gamut of currently popular palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions on a readily available indole 2-triflate is presented. Thus, standard Suzuki-Miyaura, Sonogashira and Negishi protocols lead to a variety of 2-aryl, -vinyl, and -alkynyl derivatives in good to excellent yields.
