Significance

Dragmacidin F is isolated from a Mediterranean Halicortex sponge. It inhibits herpes simplex virus (HSV-I; EC₅₀ = 95.8 µM) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV-I; EC₅₀ = 0.91 µM).
