Als Anämie wird eine Verringerung der Erythrozytenzahl, des Hämatokrits und/oder der Hämoglobinkonzentration bezeichnet und sie tritt beim Pferd relativ oft auf (23% der internistischen Patienten der Pferdeklinik der JLU Gießen). Für den Pferdepraktiker ist die diagnostische Vorgehensweise wichtig, um die richtigen therapeutischen Maßnahmen ergreifen zu können.
