Riskanter Alkoholkonsum und Alkoholabhängigkeit sind heutzutage ein prävalentes Problem. Bei diesen Patienten besteht ein höheres Risiko für Zwischenfälle in der zahnärztlichen Praxis – sowohl aufgrund von organischen als auch aufgrund von psychischen Veränderungen. Die gründliche Anamnese und ein aufmerksames Beobachten von Patienten können helfen, alkoholkranke Patienten im Vorfeld zu erkennen.
