Raf Bisschops et al. Virtual chromoendoscopy (I-SCAN) detects more polyps in patients with Lynch syndrome: a randomized controlled crossover trial

This tandem colonoscopy trial compared the adenoma miss rate between I-SCAN digital chromoendoscopy and standard high definition white-light endoscopy in 61 patients with Lynch syndrome. I-SCAN colonoscopy resulted in a significantly lower adenoma miss rate of 12 % compared with 62 % using standard examination. The results support the use of image-enhanced endoscopy in „these high risk patients.
